Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I have to pay a booking fee or deposit to rent the space?

Upon confirmation of booking, 10% deposit is required.

2. What happens if I cancel the booking?

• Deposit will be forfeited if cancellation is made within 24 hours prior to the event date
• 50% of deposit will be refunded if cancellation is made within 3 working days prior to the event date
• 100% deposit will be refunded if cancellation is made within 7 working days prior to the event date

3. What happens if the event finishes later than 5.30pm?

A surcharge of 30% of the rental rate applies if the event extends beyond 5.30pm until 7.30pm. Evening events can be arranged on a need basis but please inform the Learning Centre before hand.

4. Can I engage outside catering?

Yes, subject to approval by the Learning Centre.

5. Can I bring my own equipment?

All OUM Learning Centre premises are equipped with audio visual and PA system that you can rent at affordable rate. For technical/engineering equipment that are not available, approval must be obtained for their use.

6. Do I have to pay for the audio-visual system such as the projector, microphone, speaker and rostrum?

Audio visual equipment can be rented at affordable cost, applicable for seminar room rental for more than 90 pax. The rates are as follows: a) LCD projector - RM50.00/day (excluding 6% GST) b) PA system (BOSE) + 1 microphone - RM100.00/day (excluding 6% GST) c) Rostrum (FOC)
